Cleanups, Mulch & Snow Removal

From spring bed cleanups to fall leaf removal, our crews keep your property clean, healthy and ready for every season. When winter arrives, we clear driveways, sidewalks, walks and porches once the snow stops.

Every job starts with an estimate. Tell us what your property needs, and we’ll schedule the work at the right time of year.

Care for Every Season

Most seasonal work is best done within a certain window. Here is what we handle through the year, and when to schedule it.

  1. A row of young columnar junipers in a fresh mulched bed along the patio edge, the lawn, the arbour and the fence behind them.

    Spring

    March – May

    • Bed cleanups and weed removal
    • Mulch and decorative rock installation
    • Tree, shrub and perennial planting
    • Lawn repair, topsoil and seeding

    The best time to refresh beds and add new plantings. Fresh mulch laid early in the season helps keep weeds down through the summer.

    Summer

    June – August

    • Weed removal and bed cleanups
    • Drainage improvements
    • Planting where irrigation is in place

    A good season for drainage work. If water collected on your property in the spring, drier ground makes it easier to correct.

    Fall

    September – November

    • Fall cleanups and leaf removal
    • Shrub and ornamental grass cutbacks
    • Bed cleanups and weed removal
    • Lawn repair, topsoil and seeding

    Our busiest season. We recommend scheduling your fall cleanup early so the work is finished before the first freeze.

    Winter

    November – February

    • Snow removal — driveways, sidewalks, walks and porches
    • Final property cleanups before winter
    • Final cutbacks and bed preparation
    • Drainage improvements

    Snow removal begins once the snow stops. A final cleanup before winter leaves your beds ready for spring.

Booking and payment

Frequently Asked Questions

Are seasonal services handled by the same team?

Yes. Seasonal work is carried out by the same Earthworks crews, with the same phone number and the same standard of work as our design-build projects. The only difference is how it starts: with an estimate and a scheduled date rather than a design consultation.

How do I get a price?

Let us know what your property needs and we’ll come take a look. You’ll receive an itemized estimate, so you can see what each part of the job costs before any work begins.

How does payment work?

A 25% deposit secures your place on our schedule. Another 25% is due when work begins, and the remaining 50% is due upon completion. Some projects may require a 50% deposit, depending on material costs and project scope. Your estimate will show the payment schedule before you approve it.

How far ahead should I book a fall cleanup?

We’re typically booked out 2 to 4 weeks depending on the season, and fall books up first. We recommend scheduling early to have your cleanup finished before the first freeze.

How do I schedule snow removal?

Call or text us, ideally before a storm arrives. Once the snow stops, our crews clear driveways, sidewalks, walks and porches. If we’ve cleared your property before, we’ll often reach out to you first.
